Massage Therapy

At R3, we utilize only NYS Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) to deliver a variety of massage therapy services at the highest therapeutic level.

Collectively known as manual therapy, massage is a particular kind of physical treatment used to treat the musculoskeletal system, primarily designed to relieve tension & pain in the muscle and connective tissues (or fascia).

It most commonly includes deep kneading & manipulation of muscles & soft tissues in areas of acute muscle soreness or strain.
There is typically also a reduction of stress and anxiety reported by patients after a massage which aids in your recovery.
Sports massage utilizes more pressure than a general massage, reaching down to tissues below the superficial layer of muscles. This results in a deeper, more thorough treatment, usually focused on one or two designated areas.

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system.
Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

Common conditions that can benefit from Lymphatic Drainage massage include Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Venous Insufficiency, Lipedema as well as many other conditions.

*Most insurance also covers massage therapy, be sure to ask our team when you book your appointment if you have coverage!
